Describe the intended use first
A track may be used on a website, in paid ads, an intro and an event. One licence may not cover every case. Specify platforms, territories, duration, paid promotion and any need to supply the video to partners.
Distinguish composition and recording
Rights can concern composition, lyrics, performance and a particular recording. A new arrangement alone does not authorise someone else’s song. Keep library licences and plan details; document the rights included in commissioned work.
Check AI tool terms
Commercial use depends on the tool and terms when the material was created. AI output is not automatically exclusive or free from similarities. The order should identify the approach and restrictions affecting intended publication.
Prepare for platform checks
A Content ID claim and legal infringement are different events, but either can interrupt publishing. Agree who keeps documentation and handles platform requests. Absolute freedom from blocks cannot be promised because platform rules also matter. This is a practical question list; a specific licence needs individual review.
