How to plan a video series

Goals, recurring formats, a pilot, publication scheduling and content metrics without viral promises.

Connect each format to a customer question

Start with questions the sales team hears: who the product suits, how it works and how to start. Give each question a separate piece. An avatar series could cover choosing a character, preparing scripts, checking pronunciation and comparing an avatar with a clone.

Build a practical planning table

Useful columns are topic, audience, goal, format, assets, owner, draft date, publication date and approval status. Account for expert time and asset availability. Four ready episodes with a realistic schedule are more useful than forty topics without production capacity.

Review the pilot and platform versions

Early pieces test pacing, clarity and production workflow. A long conversation can become several standalone clips, but each needs context. Avoid automatic crops: important objects, faces and captions can disappear.

Evaluate against the goal

For awareness, review reach and completion; for product explanation, retention and relevant questions; for enquiries, clicks and contacts. Agree a review period and data sources. A weak episode calls for checking the topic and presentation rather than promising the next one will go viral.
